just want to be sure i got it correct ,before my next start up try on the next upcomnig nicest day on thursday, so the manual says i have a fuel petcock with an off, on ,and resv position,i only have on ,reserve and prime on mine,no off which manual says is either way horizontaly facing, mine dosnt go to each side only those three i listed ,top'res' ,right,'pri' bottom 'on' (down) which is on ,my question also is the petcock lever is longer at one end.im assuming that is the pointer direction it has to be in or the pointer end at the swivel base.

my next question is the enrichers (plungers) are to be pulled out for starting ,the manual says they have to be retracted ,all i want is to get my rig started up after last friday when it didnt even though the dealer who delivered it had it started and runnig for a very short time the day before ,so now i
have a good charge maintained on the battery i ran down, so hopefully i get this all right on thursday.
btw,where is the fusebox...................................TIA

Someone must have added the newer vacuum petcock, long part of the handle is the pointer. DO NOT leave it in prime. You will only need that to sync the carbs, drain the tank, or if your carbs have run dry.

Pulling the enricheners up is for cold starting, don't leave them on any longer than needed. You will have to figure out what that means on your rig. Many owners have fattened up the idle jets to eliminate the cold blooded nature of the stock jetting. with larger jets I never used the enricheners above 50-55 deg f. and never needed them more then 10-15 seconds in the coldest weather.

Fuses; If your speedo is built into the headlight bucket like a Retro then they are in there. If your speedo is on top of a chrome nacelle like a Tourist then they will be on the left side of the fork neck. I've seen bikes called BC's come both ways. I prefer the look of the Retro style but good luck fitting everything back in there. They stuffed 2-3 lbs of sh*t in that 1 lb headlight bucket.

You say you ran you battery down. Was the altinator up graded to a denso? I had my local dealer instale my denso for me. They wired it wrong. I was running off the battery, total loss. Luckily I was on my way to F.A.R.T. where the experts hooked it up the right way for my. If the battery keeps running down you should post in nuts and bolts or call a Ural dealer like Terry Crawford that knows what they are doing.

first time for battery, was just delivered to me ,the dealer said it had the denso upgraded alt.,havnt looked at it to confirm,(what to look for)also it was started up twice when it was delevered for a short on and off trailer drop of to me and my cranking it with the kill switch on didnt help it either(who knew)so now its got a battery tender on it always so next time ,hopefully everything goes right. i guess i had it right last time ,but maybe i flooded it ,by on top of the other things .well see soon enough
