Nice pictures! I forgot how beautiful Russian women are! It was very intersting to see how many foreighn bikes there are in Russia. When I was living in Kazakhstan almost all the bikes I saw were Urals or IZH. I think Russians must have more money!

From the looks of everyone else there, those girls must have been awefully cold.

Merz police cars are very popular in St Petersburg and in Moscow. They also use crown vics in moscow. In almost every area accept those 2 cities they use Ladas, or The ford contour.

LOL, those girls Do look cold :) I am sure they got warmer right after it ;)
The Crown Vics and Mercedes and BMW cop cars are needed in Moscow and St.Pete mainly for high speed escort of the officials riding on S600 (V12) Mercedes, 750 BMW, and A8 Audi. Those are amongst the most popular ones for the Russian officials (which are way too many) or anyone else who has official plaes on their cars ( for couple of grand you can have one too). Once you got those plates and blue strobe signals installed in your headlights, you can take special (official cars only) lanes on the roads and by pass all the traffic and red lights too, which is a huge problem in those cities.

Not even ONE Ural... Like many russian riders say - they don't get what this facination with Urals is all about. They would much rather ride a modern bike.

I love taking a look at the Russian biker scene... some day I'm gonna make it over there for a Night Wolves rally. I'll probably take the Harley, though, not the Tourist. ninja.gif

LOL. I'm selling bits of gear off my old bike, a 2002 Suzuki DL1000 (V-Strom), to pay for new bits on my Ural (with an eventual complete sale of the old bike) and was contacted by a Russian eBuyer who wanted to buy the Throttlemeister throttlelock I was selling. We couldn't get the payment method agreed to (USPS MO) and in passing I mentioned I had just purchased a URAL. His response was that Russians prefered Japanese bikes...
