Chicken Jam is ONLY the BEST day on the Iron Range! Our Bike club... the Northwoods Riders MC will be hosting the 3rd annual Chicken Jam July 21, 2007. There used to be a pig roast over by Two Harbors, MN, but the gentleman that put it on, is getting up there and without the help for set up and clean up, is no longer putting it on.

A couple club members manufactured a large grill (looks like a chrome coffin) to grill up a bunch of chickens (and other goodies... last year was some pork, year before was a couple deep fried turkeys) and in a nut shell... we enjoy great food, awesome music (2 bands last year) and even better company! I have pics in my photo bucket, and will post that link at the end.

The club will usually do a small ride, but due to the fact that most of our roads out here are gravel, we don’t go too far. Guess I’m going to try and change that this year... might just have to go by myself if I can find me a Ural before then :D

There are a few folks (outside of club members) that plan on spending the night, so will bring tents to pitch. They got a couple vendors to come last year, on is the best tattoo artist on the range! I think the other guy was a chrome-dealer-sort-of-person... didn’t interest me, so didn’t pay attention.. I’ve got my own job at this event.

This will be the second year that we are raffling off a motorcycle. Last year was a pretty much a rebuilt customized Sportster. This year is a Sportster that was donated by a club member.

Its really a lot of fun! if you leave there hungry... its your own fault! So far we have been blessed with awesome weather, great food, and awesome company! Entry fee is $20. per person.
