Hey everyone...
I recall seeing a website that had nice leather panniers/saddlebags that looked really nice. Sort of militaristic, though I don't think that they were direct surplus or anything.
I am thinking maybe it was Scooterbob? Maybe one of the CJ sites?
I am sure some of you guys have them, they looked great hanging off the side of the old bikes.
Seems like a useful add on to about any machine, and I am thinking about nabbing a pair.

Hmm...
those aren't the ones I recall seeing, BUT they do appear to be larger.
I checked the site link... the brackets make that price jump!
Looks/sounds like solid equipment though... the slightly higher cost doesn't mean much if you never have to buy another set of panniers.

Scooterbobs had em on his website.

Nope, not cheap, but it's good stuff. Here's the same bags listed for $70 more ...plus brackets...this guy is kind of hard to get in touch with sometimes.

...look under 'Bags and Mounts'

I've never seen ScooterBob's variety.

Since I work at a state prison I decided to take advantage of a fairly talented leather working convict. He said my custom Ural saddle bags will be ready Monday. I have high hopes for the finished product as the bags he made for my wife to use while horseback riding are very well made.

I will post some pics after I get them mounted.
