"Our swiss dealers Karin and Paul Nideröst had the chance to visit the frame and platemetal production in the factory in summer 2006. The result of this visit was a genial idea! They ordered a sidecar without painting. On this sidecar you can see the whole magnificence of the steel and sheetiron together with the perfect welding in an open and honest way.
The ordering of this motorcycle was not easy to realise. Nobody in the factory understood for what somebody could need an unpainted sidecar. So the first try we received was a very colorful primed motorcycle. After some discussions with the factory we finally received a complete "naked" motorcycle. No paint, no chrome only simple iron. To prohibit rust it was protected through a little oil.
The "naked Ural" was a sensation on the fair Swissmoto. Even though (or maybe perhaps because) there was a "do not touch" sign every visitor had their fingers on the naked one! We are honestly thinking about a very small limited edition of this "naked Ural". But this motorcycle would be painted with clear-transparent finish"

Good golly - can you imagine the effect of "sun glare" from that bad boy? The whole reflective "chrome dome" thing is one of the reasons I wear a helmet...
