Is any Northern CA members riiding the Polar Bear run tomorrow? If so I would like to meet and shake hands with fellow forum riders. Easy to spot me I'm the girl in the wheelchair (freezing her wheels off!).

1 to 2 hour ride thru the Sierra Foothills with a lunch stop. Leave Jamestown Harley-Davidson at 12 noon, rain or shine. $5.00 donation to M.D.A gets a run pin for the first 250 riders to sign up.

I want to see Kermitski laughing about California cold, AFTER he's crossed the 10,00 foot Sierra pass on Hwy 4. Or, gone through the Marine's high altitude camp for winter training. Or, stood by the roadside waiting for the heavy duty snow plows (and high explosives) to clear the 50 foot drifts off of Hwy 120 in JUNE...Kermit, you can recognize me, as I'll be the one wearing the snowmobile suit.

It's tough for us great-lakes guys to rag on folks about being cold weather sisses, cuz it's been real warm here most of the winter so far. It's been in the mid 40s and raining it seems like every day for a month. This is just nasty and actually makes one wish for actual winter.
I can't go riding on any of the lakes or rivers or canals or whatever cuz there is NO ICE. None. Instead of my poopy-suit-snow-pants I've been riding around in just jeans and my goofy lap robe to keep dry. I prefer a nice decent snowy day in the mid 20s maybe. That would be just fine. I have a feeling that when the jet stream shifts again we are gonna get what's comin to us.... and it ain't gonna be pretty.
