Hello all, The aberdare bike races were on the weekend just gone-saturday & sunday of lovely noise! to get into the park,cost £12 per day,it's worth it, the only down-side is no beer is sold to the public in the park.there is my local across the road,they have a small car park,where on race day,the landlord,dai,puts out tables and chairs,the view is a great un-hindered view of the strait.you can see/hear,velocettes,nortons,matchless's,et-al rumbling round,and changing gear at the rosarie bends,brilliant,then comes the tiddlers,bantams,etc.then the japanese boys fly round.the sound is truly awsome,and all the while drinking beer at your own pace without having to pay to get in.then after the races,there is a band on in the white lion just down the hill.a weekend of pure pleasure.on the sunday,the Valley Commandos m.c, turned up with one of their mates from the Outlaws m.c.They are a great bunch.Of course their bikes were brilliant and diverse.they stayed for awhile then left.

Hello Paul St.John,had a brilliant time,even the weather was kind for a change-sorry about no photos,i was in no fit state-i could only just walk to the bar.it's the same story every year,for almost 30years,friends turn up that i hadn't seen for years,or the races last year.if i'm still alive,it will be the same next year.i'm lucky in the fact i only live around the corner from the park and my local.i would recommend the aberdare park road races to anyone-people come from all over the world to see them,there were a couple of aussies and a new zealander in the bar,some french and a few others.
the aberaman motorcycle club organise them-and a good job they do to -- with the resourses they have to play with.they are on the internet if you want to find out more.
