Hi,

Does anyone from Virginia participate in the Ride for Kids Ride?

The former owner of my Ural asked me to carry the torch for him as far as doing the ride and just wondering about the event beyond what the website offers.

cheers,

john

John,

We usually participate in the Ann Arbor Ride for Kids, which is the Sunday of the Crawford's 3 for All Rally. However, in the past (and maybe again) we have participated in the one in Columbia, MD. Being at the top of Virginia, that is the closest to us.

I don't know where you are in Virginia, but you can see a complete schedule at the Ride for Kids website: http://www.pbtfus.org/rideforkids/calendar/2010/

This is an event that I recommend wholeheartedly - you can give a kid a ride who can't ride a conventional motorcycle, or you can provide a ride to a sibling or parent. It doesn't take much of your time and you will love the smiles you get when the bike starts moving.

I'll second that this is a must do. I do the one in Denver every year and it well worth it.
