Today, it was freakin' cold here in Virginia with a wind chill up here near Richmond in the teens. The high today was 27. On my way to a lunch destination my Ural slowed down to the point where I had the throttle floored and was doing 40 then it quit and rolled to a stop. I looked at the petcock valve and it looked as it has for awhile and switched to reserve and was on my way.

Got to my lunch spot and started home (20 miles away at this point) and the bike did the same thing and quit. Called my wife and she brought me some gas and I got home.

After looking in my manual and still not making much sense to me I found something online that stated that the long arm of the lever points in the direction. I understand now. I was riding in reserve for the better part of the day. sad.gif

John when you do switch to reserve if it works you probably only have maybe 8 miles or so.A lot of times the reserve port fills up with crap because of being the low point and also lack of use and reserve does not work hardly at all.

While riding in TN I went to reserve and had to ride quite a ways further before coming to a gas station. I ended up putting in 4.78 gallons according to the pump.
