A customer located this new Cordura "Multi Cam" fabric and tested a sample outdoors for six months in the southern California sun. It did lighten up a little, but still looked good. Darn good UV resistance for a nylon fabric. Way better than cotton duck of course.
This stuff isn't cheap. But it IS tough as heck. Dulled my shears a couple times building with it this week. it laughs at dull punches too. I had to re-grind mine sharp to cut it cleanly! All edges have to be treated to prevent fraying as well. But doing all that, it builds into some really great covers!

Any interest in accessories made from this fabric? I think with light tan edge binding it would even look great on a Sahara model. I can offer either green, black or tan edge binding for it. Black, dark brown or natural tan leather fittings. Natural tan was on the pics above.
I would have to get $280 for a tonneau made from it. But it IS a really great fabric. Best camo fabric I have laid my hands on.
I'd be interested to hear opinions. It would be quite a investment cost to me to get a big roll shipped in. I need to make sure I can sell accessories made from it. Opinions please! Thanks!
And my thanks to my customer for sending this material to me to build his accessories with this week. Great project!
