Welcome aboard.
Dubliner lives up your way. Near Kungsbacka.
Some closer picks and details on those fat rims on the wheels would be nice.

I've always liked bobbers better than choppers Your bike works for me.

Like Serious Black I'd like more details on the wheels, What spokes were used etc.......
Share with us what you can.

I am afraid my view is 'If you want a Harley, buy a bloody Harley' but the great thing about motorbikes is that you can pretty much do your own thing. It doesn't look bad for all that. Like the man said , spoke details. Wouldn't it be great if it was a standard Hardley spoke size, or may be not when I think about HD prices.

If you could measure the spokes that would help.

Wow! That´s a seriously cool Dnepr!
I´ve often thought about building a fat tired dnepr on my spare engine. Do you have any problems with clearance between the cardan shaft and the rear tire?
Welcome to the foil!

Welcome to the foil Sweden. Very cool bike. Did it start with a hack or are you putting that on?
What's with the additude Serious? Are all bobbers or choppers supposed to be harlies? It's a Dnepr bobber on harley wheels and classic harley wheels too. What's wrong with that? Dnepr wheels are not round to begin with so I can see the reason for the upgrade.

Sorry if I sounded a bit grumpy. It's just that recently I've seen a few nice bikes that have been butchered to look sort of HD style. I know this stuff goes on all the time but some of the bikes were rarities and probably should have been treated with more kindness. I watched this happen to a lot of old Brit stuff too and now they are pretty thin on the ground. The prices for them went through the roof after a while and I could no longer justify my hobby. Fortunately I discovered a decent Ural for the right price and found a new way of having fun. Just lately I noticed that the spares supply is getting a bit thinner and prices are starting to creep up. As the Dnepr factory is no more and the Chang Jiang factory is making other things, this situation is not going to get better. I recently heard a story about spares going into the furnace to be melted down as the scrap price for steel was higher than the spares were worth.
It probably doesn't help that I never really got all the crap, sorry 'mystique' about Hardleys and consider the engine design as something thought up by Laurel & Hardy.
There, that should liven things up..................

I spent ages 16-32 un-bolting and tossing tinware and other rare parts from what are now classic bikes building choppers and racers and ages 33 -54 looking for most of those same parts for resto projects.
Babyboomers, first we wreck and run into the ground whatevers around then we worship, restore and put big price tags on what remains. Go figure.
Now Black about that Laurel and Hardy motor thing.........................

I for one really like the looks of old 20-30-40´s Harley´s, and I would really like to tinker with one, but I think I have to agree with Serious about the engine. The wierdest thing is that they´ve kept their vibrating concept going all these years. And they cost incredibly much. Then again, if our bikes doesn´t break down once in a while, where would the fun be?
1 mm is not much, but it seems to work for you, that´s great. Maybe I´ll try it someday.

sorry to drag back an old thread, but what with tyre are you running? I'm thinking of putting a 16" rim on the back of mine. Do ya know what the overall height ended up? And Spoke length, yeah I know I'm asking too much. It looks like I might be able to get away with about 120mm.

Welcome Sweden! I'm fairly new myself and I love it here! I hope you will like it here, too. RIMC has a bunch of great people here. I've learned so much already and this is just a good place to hang one line.
I also LOVE those Sunbeam bikes!
