Hi all, Romana (1969 M63) although running well is at times inconsistent with idling. I suspect part of the trouble is that the rubber hose between the carbs and the air cleaner are not sealing well.

Yesterday i took here for a short run for the first time on a hot day. I stopped to fill up with petrol and on the way home she just stopped. After a couple minutes I kicked her over and although she started she didn't want to idle. When I got home I could hear the petrol boiling in the carbs so I think this may also be part of the trouble.

I have the PZ carbs with just the normal gaskets. Has anyone had experience or advice regarding the spacers kits or the phenolic spacers?

Be very careful
an Intake leak can/will lead to holed pistons...and sometimes worse!!

Put on a set of 'Inertial superchargers'. These help insulate the carbs, especially with some thick gaskets between them and the carbs & heads.
The devil is in the detail.
