Greetings all,

I am considering purchasing a Ural or Dneper sidecar-only to put on a Honda or Triumph motorcycle. What are the differences between these two sidecars? (Not asking about the motorcycle, only the sidecar.)

It is not easy to find Ural sidecars-only in decent condition, but I did see an unused Dneper sidecar on eBay. Would appreciate any information on the differences between these two.

The Ural sidecar has a trunk lid, the Dnepr sidecar's trunk is accessed through the back of the passenger seat.
Also, the Dnepr sidecar's sheet metal is a little thicker, as is the tublar frame of the sidecar.

Thank you Russian Bike Nut. Sounds like the Dneper might be worth considering. I get the impression you are pretty familiar with both. If you had to pick one, which one would you choose?

Both are good, it just depends on which one is easy for you to find at a good price.

I would also add -
If styling is a consideration, Dnepr fenders are more rounded, Ural fenders have a flatter profile.
A quick image search will demonstrate.

Thanks again, RBN. I see what you mean about the shape. I am keeping my eyes open.

I like the Top trunk of the Ural better...personal preference.
The Ural shows better fit and Finish also.
The Dnepr is a Bit heavier and it shows...
What Bike you considering outfitting??
