So I thought it might be interesting to see what the buzz is in your area regarding our beloved motorcycles. What does Ural have in store for future upgrades?

I'll start. Please keep in mind this is nothing "official" but rather just continuing a conversation with local fellow enthusiasts.

2019: new bigger engine (possibly 900cc) with 5sp tranny.

So what have you heard and/or have discussed locally?

What price are you ready to pay for a 900cc or a 1000cc engine?

Bikes are overpriced now. Add to this the shrunken dealer network and the prices are already unworkable.

I stopped by Unique Rides in Ft Collins yesterday for a look at the 2017 models.

This is my first time seeing the latest bikes with the upgraded gauge package, the handlebar emergency brake and the bench seat.

These bikes are light years away from the 2006 Gear Up I currently ride and I felt like I  was comparing a 1946 CJ2 with a Wrangler. Ural has done a nice job of modernizing the bikes without departing too far from the look and feel we love.

Anyway one rumor here was that the next gen engine will be a V-twin ala Moto Guzzi. Strange if true but it would give more foot clearance. Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image
