Sorry for replying to an old thread, but for the record, I'd like to add that a battery sized (L*W*H) 12cm*8cm*16cm fits very well in my K750.
Something like a B38-6A is very nice :)

I like to paint it black, even though that doesn't allow you to check the acid level without looking through the plugs.

I don't remember.. Some cheap one from China, looking at where I got it it seems they use "Long" or "LP".

I got a twelve amp uninterruptible power supply battery for my kick start only Dnepr. It is sealed and I mounted it on it's side, so it wold be tall enough to work with the battery hold down clamp.
