Hi everyone, I haven't been around here in a while. Got busy and my motorcycle projects got put to rest for a while. Anyway I have a flathead CJ I was looking to install a Ural OHV 750 on. I was looking to do this a few years ago but had a hard time finding a engine. Every once and a while I poke into it and don't find one. Looked around today, saw a couple on Ebay in Russia that didn't excite me. Anyone know where to find a engine?

You might try either Holopaw or Crawfords.  They both have a lot of used parts.  Since Holopaw is right near you, I'd go see him and have a talk.  He is an endless source of knowledge.  I think I remember Hiendl in OH having one too.

Thanks Teg. Thought I heard Gene at Holopaw had died a while back, hope that was incorrect. The web site doesn't appear to be up. I will take a drive out that way soon.

If you know how to take care of the dnipro engines, you can buy one in Ukraine, russia or Belarus for a few hundred dollars and get it shipped to you. I'm sure you can do the same with an ural engine, but they cost more.

If you are too lazy to deal with used engines yourself, you can pay some local specialists to restore or even upgrade the engine for you before it's shipped.
