I've noticed the lack of conversation about Donald Trump on this forum.  Being a mainly US membership, is this a taboo subject around here as the rest of the world are finding the run up to the US elections more interesting than it's ever been.

While the topic says that political observations can be made here, I think you will find that the membership here just doesn't want to get involved with them.

Go to the Soviet Steeds forum and you will be greeted with all the political banter you can handle.  Their Soap Box has probably the most active topics since the EFI Urals started going well.  Be forewarned that there is a strong right-wing bias among all of the SS membership.

I've noticed that. I think there are a few people who avoid spending too much time over there just for that reason.

True.
And I also find this year's pre-election "adventures" to be quite entertaining ... and scary.
Our two major political parties will never be the same again, and that might be a good thing.
I'm not sure yet. We'll just have to observe the resulting carnage, first.
Stay tuned...

And being a right-wing is something wrong?

If it's to the extreme, then yes. The same goes for extreme left too.

Don't believe I said that at all.  Just a warning that posting non right-wing viewpoints will invoke a miniscule dissection of the post expressing less than a simple intellectual discussion, by numerous SS members.

We are living in interesting times. Donald Trump as potential President, the UK possibly leaving the EU and here in Australia our politicians are constantly squabbling amongst themselves and throwing out their leaders. We are now on our sixth prime minister since I moved here 10 years ago. Five of them were within a space of five years.

Here, we have voting too, but when we vote they just go on with what they want anyway(Brexit!)...would love to think that your glove puppets had anything to do with your vote.. and less to do with corperate interest...

Our solution:
We just got our 1/2 pig back from the butcher. Mmmmm. Smoked ham and bacon for the winter...
Makes winter sidecar riding that much more fun!

Yes, we read Animal House decades ago.
