M72, no fins and no lip and a "full cover"... Mine looks like this. But I also know that very early K750 had no fins and lip...

I think my bike has that number. I'll check later
Have you seen the pictures of Mikes M72H in the gallery. Now that bike was built by KMZ. You can also look at Moto J M72 that bike has KMZ all over it. What does you tail lights look like or your gas tank knee pads look like. Straight lines on the Knee pads = KMZ oval =IMZ. I think your bike looks like it is still fairly true with not to many later add ons from later KMZ parts. But you will find out after you open her up.

it could be KMZ (the superior Soviet motorcycles Posted Image ) but that plate is soo faultless, that rivet is a pop rivet and I think it should have been a solid rivet... so I would say that plate has been added recently.
Screws actually!!! Heck, it even looks like the data plate on your engine is screwed on!
And yeah, the data plate is too perfect. My '59 Ural M-72's data plate was steel and hand-stamped by a binge-drinking blind epileptic.

And your engine is an M-72 ( or a CJ-750    ).

I think it's a plate screwed in to the "plug" of the sand casting...

It looks like you have a later Ural gearbox. I'll post some photos for you Friday.

See the M72 in the background? It has a newer Ural/Dnepr tail light.
