Hey folks!
Just thought that we could start talking about the 3rd Annual CRAP (Carolina Rally and Potluck)!!  We have had a couple of great ones and its time to start talking about the next.
Lets get some talking going about the when, where, who, ect...'s.  I've been thinking about it all year and look forward to the great stories and really good food!
Alright folks-lets get it going

Jordan Lake was fine, although the weather last year could have been better.  The food was fantastic - I think I'm still carying some poundage.

The end of March should be OK, although I'm flexible.  Let me know when we agree on a date and place and I'm there!

Great!!
I look forward to it.  We'll get a date nailed down and get it worked up.  I have also posted this at Soviet Steeds with good response.

I'd like to make this one as well since the SPITS Rally seems to have fallen by the wayside. Without the folks down there to run it, I just don't see SPITS happening.
I know all good things end. It's sad. But the SPITS Rally was a terrific thing for a long time. Robbie and Betsy deserve much credit for that!

Just for the public record.
I AM in pocession of the ROTEF official communal coffee urn and the ROTEF Banner as well as the Joe Padner Memorial trophy for Best Mechanical Mods.
That is a trophy that gets passed down every year at SPITS for the rig voted as best mech mod'd. My rig won two years ago at the last SPITS Rally. We really need to hold another contest so I can pass it along!

Count me in for this year!

Rich, that sounds great......honored to have you there.
There has been some talk about taking CRAP to the Baden lake area.  It would be more centrally located to those wanting to attend and we are looking into making sure that they would be able to accomodiate us.  I will ensure that any and all information will be posted here and really look forward to seeing all this year.

Sorry, Charlie.  Just heard on the news last night that Myrtle Beach has ban future motorcycle rallies.  As for the Carolina Riders and Potluck Rally, we should be there.  Great people, great food, great rally.

Looks like this is shaping up into a nice group!

I'll bring some home made adult beverage for around the fire at night. (In honor of Ed Paynter. He got me interested in this with his excellent home cooking.  :beerchug: )

We had a guy go up and look at Badin lake.  He said things looked good, but for the sake of time should hold it at Jordan lake again.  What I need to know before making reservations is: 1.  Who can attend and 2.  Is the last weekend in March or the first weekend in April better to hold it.
Once I get this information, I will find out when the majority wants to hold it-how many are coming so that I will know whether to get one or two group sites.  I plan on getting the sites where we had it the first year.  The lake has plenty of water this year and the area is just really condusive to a good time.
Let me know folks.
If you post on this site, please don't re-post on the Soviet Steeds site.  I want to get an accurate number.
Remember folks, this is a rally where we have a potluck on Saturday-but come along anyway, even if you don't bring food.  There has always been more than enough for everyone to eat really well.  We'd love to have ya'll there anyway.

Count me in. Donna will come if the weather looks warm. For some reason ladies don't like camping in the cold and rain?  :beerchug:

JohnR - Put me down for 1.  The first weekend in April is slightly better, but I don't foresee any problem with the last weekend in March either.
