Mike,

I seem to recall that you mentioned a Moggy-type trike kit a while back. but I can't find the message. A friend of mine is loosing the feelings in his feet and legs and can no longer ride a solo and doesn't like sidecars, so a three-wheeler looks to be the go. QLD Transport put him in touch with an engineer who has a lot of experience with kit cars and hand control conversions and they've told him that because the vehicle is for a disabled person, they can "ease" quite a few requirements. If you can recall the website, it would be greatly appreciated,

Regards,

Peter.

Hi Peter

Here's Joe's site - he's the moderator for the three wheel replica Yahoo group (3WheelerReplicas@yahoogroups.com).  Joe's also quite approachable :-)  Even better, he's Australian based too!
http://joes-trike.blogspot.co.nz/  His sidebar has quite a few other builders in the links - many in Australia and only too keen to help someone through the bureaucratic hoops.

Hope that helps and hope to "meet" your friend on the internet some day :-)

Mike

The Daily Telegraph in the UK did a group test of the threewheelers one can buy.  I'd use that to get the addresses of the companies http://www.telegraph...group-test.html

My favourites are :-

http://trikingsportscars.co.uk/

One day...one day....  ;-)

Been a bit busy to respond. Last week, one of the mining companies that we do a lot of work for, rings the boss and tells him that a semi load of equipment is arriving for refurbishment and could they get it back within a week. Now this is April 1st and Easter starts on the 3rd. After convincing the boss that they were serious, and that they'd pay triple time for all hours worked over Easter and pay for anyone that we had to chase up for parts. I spent most of Thursday on the phone teeing up after hours phone numbers for our suppliers and Easter Saturday driving down to Brisbane to get parts. Amazingly we had everything finished by lunchtime today and reloaded to be taken out tonight.

Thanks very much for that. It was the Pembleton that I remembered. It's a shame that it's 2CV based as they're not common in Australia, but Paul chased up a few wreckers in the UK and one has said that he's prepared to gather the needed parts and ship them here. We're going to sit down next weekend over a few beers and work out the various options.

Wine is wine, it's all good.

I still say there's something wrong with him!
