Looks like you can save your engine, cool. My Sportsman's was beyond hope. Had the details typed up, but to painful to post. No one likes to reads stuff that depressing! Glad yours was just ridden to death and not worked on to death like my 650.

I see you're tearing away from me on the dismantling stage :-)  I gave up on my flywheel for now....just won't come off for love nor money, even with BIG hammer.  Actually, think the big hammer approach has probably damaged the threads in the crank....  :-(
Look forward to reading more from you - keep the pictures coming - I need them for encouragement!

An impact wrench may be your best friend right now!

Yes, I was lucky to have an engine that I can easily save. Look what I have found in to an engine (K750) wich I have rebuilt for a friend:

Have you tried to heat the bolt with a gas torch? It can be a real help.

I have found in my spare parts a camshaft and tappets in a very good condition:

Attached File  rsz_tacheti-buni-ural-m63-2.jpg   144.21K   28 downloads

I have rectified the tappets at a turner:

Attached File  rsz_tacheti-rectificati-ural-m63.jpg   102.26K   28 downloads

New bearings for crancksaft and for the camshaft:

Attached File  rsz_rulmenti-ambielaj-ax-came-ural.jpg   109.99K   28 downloads

I have recovered from a new broken engine two rotor oil scavangers:

Attached File  rsz_tavi-centrifugare-ural-m63-noi.jpg   193.14K   22 downloads

And I have assembled the oil scavangers on to the cranckshaft, new bolts and Loctite:

I had a problem with the bush from the oil pump gear, it was broken:

Attached File  rsz_bucsa-sparta-pinion-pompa-ulei.jpg   191.35K   22 downloads

I removed the bush, it has broken because it was having some cracks:

Attached File  rsz_bucsa-pinion-ural-m63.jpg   144.59K   24 downloads

I have solved the problem by making another bush at a turner:

Attached File  rsz_bucsa-pinion.jpg   88.83K   21 downloads

And the turner made my a tool for mounting this bush:

Bolt came off with an impact wrench - I have a compressor and thought a new toy might be useful :-)  My problem now is the flywheel which defies all attempts to come off.  Have used BMW tools to pull it off but no, it stays on, laughin at my attempts.  There is a bike place close by - they do Harleys so I suspect they'll be intrigued enough to agree to work on a Ural :-)
My Ural work had to stop for a bit also because I had to get my Citroen Traction Avant ready for a rally - arms are still aching from all the sanding and cutting prior to polishing!

You can try also to heat it up with a gas torch (trust me, it will work) and after that try to pull it with the BMW tool. I suspect it looks like this one:

Did that and not it didn't :-(  A whole can of camping gas - I should have used acetylene apparently for the heat but I don't have that yet.  The tool does indeed look like yours (it is this one - http://www.cyclework...0&products_id=4 you'll see the puller parts. Nice tool - should be able to do anything on an engine...as long as the engine cooperates!).  Not to worry - the BMW I have works :-)  Ural is a long term project - lot's of time to get it done.  With your pictures, along with all the others on the internet, I think I'll get it sorted :-)  I've also come across a bike shop very near me - they're new, I think.  I shall use their expertise (and tools :-D)

Thes best tools you can have is patience and the pleasure to repair things. If you have this two important tools you can do anything you want.

I have mounted the new bush for the oil pump gear:

Attached File  lagar-pinion-pompa-ulei-montat.jpg   152.79K   17 downloads

After that i have made some new threads for the front cranckshaft suport. Original thread is 6mm but they wore broken, so I have made 7mm threads.

Broken thread:

Attached File  filet-stricat-ural-m63.jpg   165.26K   24 downloads

The new ones, four new threads for 7mm bolts:

Attached File  filetare-palier-7mm.jpg   155.48K   24 downloads

Attached File  filet-7mm-2.jpg   154.63K   20 downloads

Attached File  filet-7mm.jpg   127.24K   17 downloads

In the picturea above you can see four points, they wore given in the past in order to "remake" the thread. Not a good solution.

After this operations I have cleaned again the engine housing and I have started to assemble the cranckshaft with new bearings:

Attached File  carter-ural-m63-spalat.jpg   128.18K   14 downloads

Attached File  ambielaj-ural-m63-1.jpg   159.19K   14 downloads

Attached File  ambielaj-ural-m63-2.jpg   127.87K   15 downloads

Attached File  ambielaj-ural-m63-3.jpg   153.97K   14 downloads

I am using Loctite to secure the bolts:

Attached File  suruburi-palier-fata-loctite.jpg   91.36K   18 downloads

As you can see below the front housing cranckshaft has bigger bolts wich can be tighten very well:

Attached File  palier-fata-montat.jpg   144.19K   22 downloads

At the rear housing I have put new gasket with a special Loctite adhesive (not silicon).

I had a problem with the timing gear housing, it is worn out where the breather rotates and I have changed the timing housing, fortunately I had one in very good shape:

Attached File  capac-distributie-ural-m63-uzat.jpg   89.65K   16 downloads

The good one, I have to remove the paint:

Attached File  capac-distributie-ural-m63-negru.jpg   101.02K   16 downloads

Attached File  capac-distributie-ural-m63-bun.jpg   106.96K   11 downloads

And I have assembled the camshaft and the gears:

Attached File  piese-distributie-ural-m63.jpg   81.93K   13 downloads

Attached File  montare-rulment-ax-cu-came-ural-m63.jpg   116.97K   17 downloads

I have heated the camshaft gear, not pressed, you can obtain like this a better fixation:

Attached File  rsz_ax-came-ural-63-montat.jpg   158.6K   16 downloads

And the timig housing with the new seal for the camshaft:
