There are a few rebuilds being documented on the forums but they're scattered. It'd be good to get them all in one place maybe?

Ya know...Like that...I'm not sure that a restoration documentation belongs in the wrenchin forum...
Of course it does Now...but..sometimes, change is good...

RP, it seems there is precious little good information on the web to help people with old bikes bring them back to original. A good resource on Russian Iron would be a good place to start I feel. But maybe I'm wrong?

I like this idea. I know other forums have "build" stickies. It's a good repository for info.

As one of the owners documenting my rebuild at the moment I think this is a great idea.
Would be good to have a dedicated forum for rebuilds / restorations so that we can all learn from each others experiences.

I guess what I'm sayin is that an entirely New Section is in order. Wrenchin is not Rebuilding/Restoring necessarily.

Anybody e-mail john about this???

I have read a few nut and bolts self build posting on various sites and have beetotally engroused. The builds show you differant things people do and the alternative setups as well. The should be a separate section for the self build restorers I think as we will get all kinds of knowledge from differant ways people do things. I'm just in the searching point to find either a K-750 or a MT9, If I can I'll get both eventually and get the misses thinking I bought it for her to use lol.
