She had been standing there for 28 years. ) Only 9045 Km. from the day she was born. I have put new bearings and seals in the gearbox and new and better pistons bearings and seals in the motor. She will also get all rubber and cables new, but I will keep her looks and patina. )

Looks very complete. Great find! Is the paint original on the headlamp shell. They're black on all the bikes I've seen. The frame deserves some paint in the interests of preservation. That looks like more than a little patina there ;)

Yes the paint on the headligth shell is the origninal one, The only things tempered with is the gearshift lever that has a different color then the rest of the bike and I dont think this is the original tailligth. The sidecar is in original shape and same color.
The story goes that this is one of 7 bikes bougt from an east german officer, along with the armytruck they road in on. The previous owner bougt her with 16 Km. on the odometer in 1984.) I'll post some more pics soon.)
