MotoJ
When I was over there a few years ago I thought that the Lifans were going to be sold over here like hotcakes and be reliable. Well. the old Honda technology is reliable, but the manufacturing quality seemed not so much. They are cheap for a reason. I am not trying to get in on any argument or opinion, but from when I was over there (just my experience) and see what is being sold over here, I cannot say I would be excited to hop on one of these and go 70 mph due to build quality and the experience in things that go fast. The largest sport bike I saw a layman have was a 150cc... I don't want to get started, so I will stop now. lol. Buy a used KLR or VStrom and ride it for 20 yrs. I have a KLR250. It's great, although my knee gets a beating kicking it in the winter. If it doesn't catch the first one then it's hard to start.I'm looking for something out of the ordinary, which is why this Zong is intriguing.Reports I've read from people who have seen these in person have the writers walking away impressed, having been as skeptical as anyone beforehand, given the Chinese rep for cheap ######. Here's a Zong Shen trade film snippet. They are partnered with Piaggio and Harley, and are also making BMW F650 motors. This RX3 250 motor is of their own design, but they are using Delphi Multec EFI, Siemens clocks, and other sourced components. Zong Shen is also designing, building and racing hybrids and E-bikes. It's an innovative company. The Russian Minsl company staged a 10000 KM promo ride, ala The Long Way 'Round, and there's currently a guy riding from the far east of China to Turkey. They've had problems, but nothing too major. I think this bike will change some folks minds if it does well. Someone has to be an early adopter. If it turns out to be a piece of crap, I won't be out too much, and I'll give all you guys a chance to say "I tol' ya so!" I took a chance on a Royal Enfield years ago, not to mention the Ural. They're all fun, even if they are headaches sometimes!
guzzidude
I didn't want to pee in the cornflakes J. I just wanted to state my fear of products that are made there. Some companies are better than others just like here, Japan, Germany, Italy, and of course Britain. It could be the old Chevy -Ford debate, just on a continental scale. Lol. I just hope people understand the product they are buying. The flashyness and kitschiness of some products really get some folks. I'm rambling now. At least maybe you can let me ride it one day and change my mind. ;)

MotoJ
Screeech! That was the sound of me hitting the brakes on a Chinese RX3 bike purchase. Lucked into this baby reasonably and couldn't pass it up!
guzzidude
Yay Suzuki. Just missed a JR50 I was going to get for my 2.5 yr old Rowan. The old Suzuki 2 strokes were hard to beat.
