Mike Goldthorpe
A friend went to Delhi and bought a 350cc Bullet and rode it back to England. Of course, there's a bit of preparation involved in this (carnet de passage, visas, etc) but seems the ride back was fun. Went through a few pistons but nothing the local blacksmith couldn't sort out on the way.
whiterabbit
Nice looking bikes but a "Royal" pain to keep on the road.Been there, done that. This is the "snake" between Bristol and Shady valley. Got tired of burned pistons, crap carb, broken valves and springs, blown head gaskets, dropped valve guides and seats, etc, etc,....It is now moved on to another sucker. Got tired of the wife passing me on her 1970 XLCH, which I built for her! Cute bikes, fun around town but.....
