IMZman
You'll need a new pin and if the new front cover does not come with a seal...you'll need that too. If it is a 650cc, Holopaw Gene has the biggest stash of NOS 650 parts and that would be the place to start.

IMZman
Get the OEM gasket, cheap...getta couple for the next time. Making one is a PITA...but if you had to...it is just time consuming. Only seal the gasket to the cover, easier to remove next and easier to clean off if you have to. And oil the other side before you fit it. Then there is a better chance of not destroying it on removal which is handy if you are doing it at the side of the road.
