  1. Hiya guys and ladies. I am a new member of this forum and this is my first post. A little about myself. I am recently retired although I still work occasionally. I have always been a 2-stroke fan. I grew up in England and I bought my first bike around 1968/69 which was an Ariel Golden Arrow. Followed by a Leader, a Norton ES2, then a couple of Suzukis which included a highly tuned and unreliable T20 which I road raced. While racing, my road bike was a MZ ES250 which was a superb machine. The front end went up when you braked. A good handler too. When our kids were little, cars were the way to go, but I now ride a 1972 Jawa 350 which I resurrected after many years of non-use. It's a dream to ride on the quiet roads around here. Which brings me to the other point of my post. I love the idea of rebuilding/restoring and eventually riding an IZH 2-stroke. A Planeta would probably be my first choice. The last IZH I saw advertised in Oz was a Jupiter twin which was in SA about 9 months ago and it looked in pretty good condition in the photos. I am located in the south west of Western Australia. One gent from somewhere over east contacted me a few days ago saying he had a 175cc Voskhod which he was considering offering up for sale. So you never know what is out there. Contact me if you have an unused one and feel free to contact me even if you don't. A happy new year to members. Phil
