  1. I will do what you suggest by blowing it back however I have found that the motor will run for almost a minute and a half 2 minutes with no gas getting to the carburetor at all so 30 seconds would not use up the gas that is in the float assembly.
  2. And the trick then is to blow air back through the tube and into the gastank.. that'll loosen up most crap. (I'd normally use my lungs to provide this air)
  3. I have swapped four different coils and they all seem to behave the same way I doubt that four of them are bad
  4. yes. after it stops running, the float bowl still has plenty o petrol.
  5. My M16 hgas run great for many years. Now it cranks up and Runs for abt 30 seconds and quits. I have done the following: 1 Cleaned and recheck carb settings(Mikuni style not K65) 2 I have tried 2 point/condenser ignitioin systems and 2 electronic ignition systems. All start but still quit after abt 30 seconds. 3 Cleaned and regapped plugs and changed plug wires. 4. Checked valve clearance. 5. Checked compression--both abt 90PSI. 6. Checked voltage to ignition--12.5V or more. 7. Drained gas and put fresh no-ethenol gas in bike. Bike still starts but only runs for abt 30 seconds.
  6. Thanks for the reply I have removed the rubber bushes. The swing arm can not be removed without removing the pin the arm pivots on. I was told that heating that area and driving it out could be done. This is not working. I was thinking of cutting the pin between the tilt arm and the side car frame and removing it that way. I will purchase another swing arm assembly and install it. What do you say?
  7. I have a Dnepr M16. The side car reduction gear box is not working. I need to remove it from the side car and disasemble it to determine what parts I need. I have disconnected everything except the pivot pin(shaft) that holds the reduction gear box assembly to the side car. After removing the shock asorber 2 bolts, the hex bolt , and the bolts that hold the caps over the pivot pin, I have tried to unscrew and also drive out the pivot pin with no luck. What is the best way to remove this pivot pin(shaft)?

  9. I was driving my Dnepr when suddenly there was no power to the rear wheels. The shaft from the differential to the side car drive assembly turns but neither wheel has any motion. The bike will not move. I jacked up the side4 car, and removed the wheel, The bolt that tholds the drive assembly to the shock asorber, and the allen bolt on the bottom of the drive assemblhy. I cannot remove trhe drtive assembly because of the pressure on the drive assembly from the shock asorber. Is there an easy way to remove the side car drive assembly, so I can diagnose the prblem nd repair it?
  10. Does anyone knowwhat the wheel offset is on the front tire of my M16? Also, is it the same for all 3 whels?
  11. My Dnepr m16 has run fine for years with Kaptex vdc 03 carbs. Recently, the throttle cable made a bigger hole in right carb the where it is attached to the slide and I had to change the slide out. The repair kit had a plastic slide and attachment assembly that I installed. I set the needle on the slide so it was all the way down to make it as lean as possible. I started it up and balanced and adjusted the carbs and drove it about 2 miles for a test. I pulled the plug on the right cylinder and it was completer fouled with black soot. The left cylinder is not fouled out. 1. The enrichment valve was all the way closed 2. valve lash checked 3. Air filter is clean 4, Main jet 183 5. main jet needle set all the way down for full lean 6. Double checked timing and point gap 7. Double checked float setting and float valve I changed out the carb with a Petkar K68y. Still fouled right plug quickly. 1. Main jet needle set to full lean 2, Double checked enrichment valve and it seats completely so I can blow no air thru the jet whit carb disassembled. 3. 7. Double checked float setting and float valve, no overflow Any suggestions?
