I am a former schoolteacher, musician and retired Active Duty National Guardsman.

I bought a disassembled 2003 M8.1030 Ural (Iraqi Rig) 650 in December 2006. I painted and assembled it over the winter and had it titled and running by June 2007. The bike was a military custom order and has an all aluminum 650 engine (no cast iron jugs) and two wheel drive. As of Feb 2018, I have over 30k km on it.

I bought a 2009 Ural "T" in 2014 as the 4th owner. I removed many after market parts (hand shifter, electronic speedometer; windshield; hand guards) and "restored" it to factory condition, adding a factory fairing. I traded in this rig for a 2019 cT in December 2019.
